How fast will these scooters go?
Speeds range anywhere from a top speed of 40 MPH all the way to 110 MPH. It just depends on the model you choose.

What kind of gas mileage does a scooter get?
In the Vespa line, a 50 CC scooter should get 75-80 MPG, a 150 CC scooter 70-75 MPG, a 200/250 CC scooter around 70 MPG. In the Piaggio line, the Typhoon 50 CC gets about 75 MPG, the Fly 150 about 70-75 MPG, the BV 250 about 70 MPG, the BV 500 and X9 around 65-68 MPG and the MP3 between 65-70 MPG.

What color choices are there?

Do you need a license to ride a scooter in Texas?
The short answer is yes. The new law clearly states that, to be legal, any scooter capable of attaining speeds of 30 MPH or greater requires the rider to have an ordinary motorcycle license.

How do I get a license?
The best way is to take one of the Motorcycle Safety Courses around the state (San Antonio has three schools currently). The class is two days. Day one is all classroom, day two is on the back of a bike. You can bring your own scooter or you can use one of theirs. At the end of the class, you receive a completion certificate. Take that certificate to the DMV and they’ll give you a 15 question test, which you will pass. From that point forward you’ll have your “M” class license.

At what age can you obtain a license to ride a scooter?
Age 15 provided the scooter doesn’t exceed 250 CC.

Do you have financing available?
Yes. We use GE MONEY for our in-house financing. They do straight installments and consistently offer special flexible plans as well. The vespausa and piaggiousa links describe the GE financing plans in detail.

Do you sell accessories and riding apparel?
Yes. We have a full line of all Vespa and Piaggio accessories and all types of riding apparel. If we don’t have it here we’ll order it for you.

Do you sell used scooters?
When available, yes, a used Vespa tends to last about two days before it’s sold.

Do you sell Vintage Vespas?
When available, yes.

Do you restore older scooters?
Yes. We have an excellent service manager who excels at restoration.

Do you offer full service?
Yes. We service all Italian scooters, regardless of their age.
